Review: Ann Summers Rampant Rabbit G-Pulse Remote

I'm feeling guilty today! I've had this toy, the Ann Summers Rampant Rabbit G-Pulse Remote (try saying that ten times fast!) for so long! Unfortunately, between house moves, 'girly' problems and a whole bunch of other junk, I never did get round to it.

Last week I reviewed the ordinary G-Pulse, that is to say the one without a remote that came out a while before this one. The upshot of that review was that while the shaft was a touch thicker than I might have liked, the bunny ears rocked, and the vibration patterns were excellent.

So what has changed between the old G-Pulse and the new?

Well, it's marginally shorter and the tiniest fraction girthier, but aside from that aesthetically very similar... Other than the extra bit of kit nestled next to it in the box, of course! It still runs on AAA batteries, though with the remote needing two of it's own, you'll need to have a total of six in for this baby!

The name might have been a bit of a giveaway but incase it wasn't, I can tell you that the big difference is the inclusion of the new remote control. Now, I'll admit that when I first saw it, I did wonder if it might just be a little bit faddy... But after having a go, and also having had time to have a bit of a think about the applications, I'm loving the idea.

The most obvious use, of course, is to replace the tv remote in you're other half's hand with this! Escpecially for guys, gadgets and things that can be remote-operated never lose their appeal; so if your guy (if appropriate ;) ) has been reluctant to get into toys, this could be just the ticket to win him over!

Even for the single girl, or the solo player, it does offer benefit though; I found that the difference in use was much more than I'd expected - it made play much more fun as I didn't have to try to think and remember which button was what on the rabbit, I could just hold the remote and press away as I needed to!

This rabbit could even be utilised for kinky dominance and submission play if you fancy spicing it up, or are an old hand at the kink game - think of the uses of a toy that can be operated and switched off at range?

Much like it's non remote counterpart, this bunny boasts independent control of the shaft and rabbit vibrations, as well as a whole host of speeds and pulses for both. Again, in use I might have liked the shaft to have been a little slimmer as for me, I need a slim shaft with intense angles to hit my g-spot, but for many others a thicker shaft works - so it's really all about what works for you.

The bunny ears are still divine and the multiple bullets that fire up the vibrations mean that the buzz still really carries through. The patterns of vibration and pulse on the G-Pulse toys is different to those found on most others too, with the build-and-relax style, which really worked on me.

All in all, I do think the remote adds a new dimention to this toy, whether with a partner or on your own.

Want to get one for yourself? It's available now at Ann Summers!

Review: Ann Summers "Passion" Massage Lotion

R and I bought this massage oil quite a while ago when we were looking for a massage oil or bar as I'd been suffering from a painful back and shoulders(and still do, unfortunately). R is an absolute gem for working so hard to try and get my back into a liveable condition so often, and had been trying to work on it a little but with no oils, to little avail.

We set out, and figured Ann Summers was probably the most logical place to check out on our little mission, so headed to the high street. In Ann Summers, we found a range of oils. After sniffing the Lust and Love oils, and finding them not to our taste, we picked up the tester bottle of Passion oil, and immediately knew that was the one for us.

Having bought it (£8 for a 150ml bottle), we headed home. A closer look at the gorgeous, retro-styled label found that it claimed to be "lickable". Now, I am sure a great deal of attention was paid to ensuring that all the ingredients of this lotion were totally consumption-safe, but for the sake of your taste buds, I would strongly advise against it. It might smell divine, and while some of the notes from the fragrance do make it through in taste, there is an overwhelming bitter note that just makes the licker gag. (If that licker is me, anyway...)

The things we loved about it, however, way outnumber the sour taste. It's not especially sticky once it's been rubbed in, so going to sleep without showering it off wasn't unpleasant. As mentioned before, the smell is gorgeous, really tropical and refreshing, and a smell I'm happy to have dominate our boudoir! Lastly, the warming effect is nice when it's being used for massage to help sore bodies, as it seems to stimulate in a lot of the same ways the massage itself does.

All in all, a massage oil we turn to time and time again, and will keep buying.

Buy it at Ann Summers

Review: Ann Summers Rampant Rabbit Thruster Deluxe

Rampant Rabbit Thruster Deluxe

The Ann Summers Rampant Rabbit Thruster Deluxe is one of the latest developments in what is easily their best known range of toys. Once given notoriety by Sex and the City in "that" episode where Charlotte refuses to leave her apartment, women both across the pond in the States and right here in good old Blighty were clamouring for their own buzzing bunny.

Rightly so, of course, as many women have found them to be the holy grail of vibrators. With a shaft that does things (virtually) no penis can do, and those sensationally stimulating ears ready to buzz you straight to heaven, it's no wonder they've maintained their place at the top of the toy tree.

The Rampant Rabbit Thruster Deluxe promises to take everything the Rampant Rabbit has created and up the ante, adding a thrusting shaft - finally tackling what other penetrative vibes could never do (short of a sybian!) - actually thrust into you.

I was lucky enough to get my mitts on one of these little beauties, and have spent a few sessions now thoroughly testing (for your benefit of course, it's a hard life!) what this bunny can really do.

When you get the Thruster, you need 3 AAs to get it going, and some lube would be an idea unless you tend to take slightly girthier toys well. It's not a monster, but it does have a respectable girth and many ladies will need a little help to lube up. The controls have been kept uber simple - ideal for those moments when you're too lost to know what the hell you need to press. 4 buttons - an up and a down for both the thrusting shaft and the buzzing clitoral stimulator. Set the speeds, and away you go!

In use, the thrusting really blew me away. In all honesty I'd expected it to slow down or even stop under the pressure (I know I tend to "clamp down" a little when I get into it!) but it really didn't! The concertina'd bit is where all the action springs from, and this allows loads of variation depending on how you like to play. The only real limitation is your imagination!

This is one vibe you actually can just hold there and it does the rest of the work. However, I'd recommend trying other positions too, such as straddling the toy or holding it so the thrusts dip in and out, as this has a better chance of stimulating the g-spot.

The rabbit ears buzz on three speed settings; low-med-high, so no pulses or gradient settings, but in all honesty I didn't feel it needed it. There's already enough going on with the thrusting and buzzing.

In a nutshell, I had a great time wiht the Thruster. It's no wonder the This Morning panel gave it 10/10! I'd say it's a great option for single girls too, who may be missing couple-sex, or even for those in relationships as the possibilities (giving head while being fucked by a vibe? I think so!) are endless.

If you've been wavering, stop. Just go and try it already.

Available from Ann Summers: Direct Link - Rampant Rabbit Thruster Deluxe

PS! here's a video about how it works! It's the official one, not by me, hence why I left it till the end!

Review: Ann Summers White Chocolate Body Paint

I like to lick. I just thought you may like to know. I also like to be licked. Preferably, lots.

Valentines day saw me gather a whole host of naughty treats to share with my man. We ate chocolate-dipped strawberries, cuddled up in bed... oh, and I got a good flogging. All in all it was a great day.

And what made it even better was when he took out one of the presents I got him, and made my breasts dessert... The White Chocolate Body Paint 150g from Ann Summers made for a sticky end to our valentines day - when drizzled onto a body and allowed to coat soft skin, it is divine. I'll be the first to say, it does look a little like cum, but personally, that only added to the experience and made it all the hotter for it.

The sensation of his tongue licking the sticky sweetness from my nipples made me insatiably turned on, so finding his cock at mouth level made me a very happy girl... He squeezed some of the chocolate out, allowing it to drip from him - only enhancing the appeal... After having eagerly lapped it up, I can safely say we'll be returning to this for future dessert-in-bed options!

Available at Ann Summers for a bargainous fiver!

Sex on the High Street?

Over the Christmas holidays, I returned home to my parents house. My boyfriend stayed with his parents, so we could each spend some time with our respective families, though we did try to see each other whenever we could [fortunately for us, that was a decent amount!]. Now, when I packed for home, I think I was a little optimistic. One toy. Granted, it was my favourite [and still is one of my favourites], but soon I realised this had been a little... short sighted, perhaps. I could have ordered online, however sometimes I get a hankering for a visit to a real life shop - one with shelves of things that go buzz, rows of phallic delights, and naughtiness galore. In this instance, I also figured I'd get something a little quicker if I hopped on a bus, and bought something in person. Now, I am intentionally vague about where I live, but will disclose it is somewhere in the north east of England. Between that particular mission for sexual relief and a couple of extra visits since I returned to University, I have recently visited four sex shops, three of which being branches of Ann Summers stores.
Visit #1: Ann Summers Newcastle. The store had been refurbished not long before my visit, and while the shop did indeed look refreshed and updated, the layout was all wrong. Having subsequently passed the store, I believe this has been altered to a more appropriate layout. I say the layout was wrong, as the normally-partitioned section of the store, containing all the toys, was in the main of the shop. Now, seeing as this is a store with an open-door policy [so it'd seem], and no visible age warnings on said doors, I feel this is inappropriate. Even worse, in my opinion, some parents had their children with them instore. Now, I have long been a little uncomfortable at the sight of little ones in sex toy shops, but when they're of an age that it means nothing to them that's one thing - the children in question were 7-10 year olds. A couple of girls, probably aged about 8, stood uncomfortably, clearly unsure where to look or stand. Another pair of boys giggled at what surrounded them. Sex toys were not adults-only pleasure givers that day, rather they seemed, in that moment, to exist for no reason other than to titilate poorly minded young boys. Needless to say, I left. I am not suggesting that Ann Summers as a company were to blame for the fact some parents considered their shop an appropriate festive-break day trip for their little ones, however I would think better store layout would have helped. I would also have thought it wasn't unreasonable to expect the sales assistants to have a polite word with the childrens' parents or guardians to remind them of the adult nature of the chain? Visit #2: Ann Summers Metro Centre Now, clearly a glutton for punishment and still in need of a new toy, I boarded another bus to take the short journey to the Metro Centre, Europe's largest shopping mall. I was comparitively far more impressed with the Metro Centre branch. There was a small child [toddler age] who had discovered dildos and vibrators looked a lot like small person toys. Still though, the inapropriate child ratio was lower. I managed to mooch through the stock and noticed a Serena vibe [review sometime soon... ish!], and seeing as it seems to have been discontinued in a few places, and was reduced in Ann Summers on the day, I thought it seemed wise to go for it. At the till I encountered my major gripe with Ann Summers Metro Centre: Misinformation. Apparently any soap or cleanser other than their buzz fresh wipes will, in fact, damage the toy. I know this to be untrue. Still, for the sake of arguement and due to my own lingering professional nature from back in the day when I held a position as a S.A. myself, I didn't point this out in front of the other customers. I'm decent, y'see?! Visit #3: Ann Summers Sunderland A little later, and on a different day to the other two visits, my trip to the Sunderland branch of Ann Summers was a comparitive breath of fresh air. Sales assistants who know when to let the customer browse, and when to offer assistance. An appropriately laid-out store. A generally good shopping experience. Hurrah, girls of Sunderland Ann Summers; this sexblogger salutes you! Now, on to: Visit #4: Nice 'n' Naughty Newcastle
I hadn't been aware of this store's existence until quite recently. Nice 'n' Naughty added me on twitter. Having had a peek at their site, I noticed they listed some real-world stores. "Ooh, one in Newcastle?" I thought. I couldn't resist a visit, and once I'd worked out where in the city they were based [in the gay scene] I went for a look. The door displayed a sign warning of adult content beyond, and rightly so in my opinion. Nice 'n' Naughty differs from it's high street competitor as they are a licensed sex shop, stocking many more toys, more fetish gear, not to mention a hefty collection of R18 porn. The staff were having a chat with another customer as I entered and began to browse, the atmosphere seemed lively and friendly. While the store does feel [understandably] gay orientated in places, it's certainly not discriminatory or "only" for any particular section of the sex-toy buying public; indeed Nice 'n' Naughty are very clear that they welcome all walks of life and sexualities - a move that I believe makes them all the more fantastic. The actual toy stock was varied, with more anal toys [yay] and fetish [also yay!] than a lot of more 'mainstreamed' shops offer. I eventually settled on picking up an extra Valentines Day present for my Mr, a particularly beautiful black tailed flogger with a metal handle. A couple of chats later, and I left, a very satisfied new customer, and strode through the city streets of Newcastle, black bag in hand. All in all, I'd definately recommend visiting a Nice 'n' Naughty near you if you're lucky enough to live nearby; for they are indeed very nice, and oh so naughty!

Ann Summers Rampant Rabbit Heart Throb: A Review

Good morning my lovelies. I have been bad. Again. (Hard to believe, I know, but bear with me...) You know how I said last time "Oh, I really can't afford any more new toys, the spending has to stop... yadayada" well that didn't exactly go to plan. I stopped at Ann Summers yesterday and bought the Rampant Rabbit Heart Throb. Now, I normally buy pretty much all my toys from LoveHoney (as you may have noticed), however what with the throbbing action being totally different to anything on the market, Ann Summers clearly saw that and patented it to themselves! I can't blame them, and I suspect any company would have done the same, but more on that later... On to my thoughts!
Things I Love about the Heart Throb: (1) I think the biggest thing has to be that the sensations are totally different. A big factor in why I bought it was because I thought about how I feel when I climax and right after, and I always do the whole contracting, throbbing, spasmy thing... I thought if there is a vibrator to replicate that, it has to be good. I'm also not always sold on a vibrating shaft, I sometimes get a little numbed by that so a different sort of shaft stimulation seemed like a good idea. (2)The material it's covered in is *gorgeous*. Really, it is. If you have a store anywhere near you, go and stroke one if they have models out to touch. It's possibly the nicest feeling vibe I've used in a long time! (3) Multi function rabbit vibrations; the rabbit bit (clitoral stimulator) has several speeds and pulses, not the ridiculously long list that some seem to go for these days, but equally better than the old low/med/high that the old Rabbits used to go for. Things I hate about the Heart Throb: (1) Now, you're warned about this on the box, so there is an indication it may happen, but... The throbbing action stops if it is gripped too tightly. Of course, that is likely- especially as you get closer to orgasm! I've found there is a level it can be pulled out to to get it working and still be pleasurable on me, but many might find this a huge problem. Yeah, just the one "hate"; but it's quite a big one tbh. I also really like that this vibrator doesnt really need to be pulled and pushed and thrusted or whatever like most - for me I find the throbbing action and clitoral vibrations are more than enough, especially with the multispeeds. Some people have said the rabbit is too flexible, or that the ears don't sit right... I did have a few positioning issues, but for me, all that really took to fix was spreading my lips a little more with my free hand... Which personally I find pretty erotic anyway, so it was hot enough to just feed into the whole thing ;) All in all, I don't know if I like the throbbing monopoly in the marketplace too much - the motor issues are probably teething problems with a new type of mechanism, but the easiest way to overcome that in any subsequent models would surely be for many manufacturers to be working on it, not one to be hogging it? I understand why they did it, don't get me wrong, but still. I feel like it's certainly new and different and something to be experienced... But I'm not totally convinced it's earned it's near-£50 price tag. A welcome newcomer to the toy box though. All things considered, I'm glad I gave it a go, but I do feel it could do with some work - so perhaps a Rampant Rabbit Heart Throb 2.0 could make me a very happy girlie?

I must, I must...

Blog more often. This is it, I promise I am turning over a new leaf and you WILL see more of me in these parts! Been a bit distracted what with one thing and another, but isn't everyone? I won't be using that as an excuse to neglect this any more... Though as no-one reads this, strictly speaking, I am talking to myself. Isn't that the first sign of madness? Today is all about sex toys. I am a member of LoveHoney's forums (Fora?) , and a regular buyer of toys from the afforementioned. I love them and hate them, sometimes in equal measure. I love them because it's near impossible not to, and I hate them for nothing more than the fact that they keep making me spend money I shouldn't. Really good example would be today. I went to a shopping centre today (a rather large one) which has an Ann Summers. Now, I will admit that I did go with the intention of sinning and cheating on my beloved LH. My trip did involve a notable detour to Ikea for meatballs followed by daim cake... Not very sexy or O/T but hey, it's real life donchaknow? Once I had finished my daim cake, I walked through the centre to A.S... Now, I don't mean to judge here, but I noticed three or four SAs stood together, faffing with stock and seemingly, chatting. The store looked fairly empty, though admittedly I couldn't see the back where what I call the "proper" stock is. Maybe, part of me is still the pathetic wimp I was when in high school (or younger even) but seeing as all three girls looked up at anyone pausing (maybe, oh, thinking about coming in and spending some money?!), it totally put me off. I think I was drawn to the idea of going to A.S. as I miss the tactile stuff, I like the whole looking at the displays thing, the "shopping" experience, which as much as I love LH, obviously, online isn't the same. The reality, though, put me off. I decided this meant I was DEFINATELY allowed a LH order when I got home, and order I did. Now, do consider that I currently have zero income (stupid, stupid gov't (or rather the outsourced company they emply) still haven't arranged my ALG) but I will grant that my savings from my old job seem to be more than tiding me over, and I felt i needed a treat. I think we'll be calling this my christmas present to myself though, it's a bit of a wopper at just under £70! I wasn't planning that much... But I saw that for £50+ you qualified for a free Diamond Dazzler vibrator which is itself worth twenty quid, and seems to get good ratings. Having brought my order up to the £50 mark, I saw that at £60+, you can choose your delivery date! Awesome, I thought, as I won't be in on friday so Saturday is far better. (Btw, what do I say to my parents? "Butt out, it's christmas soon!" is what I'm favouring if they ask whats in the box!) And lets not forget, the original incentive that pushed me to order was the free gift offer in the LH mag! Here's my order: Liquorice Dip Butt Plug Triple Pack Black Wanted this for a while and think I really need to invest in some graduated butt plugs to get the ol' anal sex life going with the bf... Smooth Realistic 6.5 Inch Waterproof Vibrator Purple I wanted a waterproof vibe. Nothing more, nothing less. Might spice up showertime? Bondage Tape Black HOW long have I wanted this??? Now, to get the bf to use it on me... (I'm a sub through and through, lucky I went and fell in love with a dom!) Tracey Cox Supersex Orgasm Arousal Gel This is something I don't think I ever would have ordered if not for the LH mag! Something a bit different, and haven't tried any 'sensation' inducing gels or lubes so i'm certainly up for this. Aquaglide Anal Lube I was going to order the sliquid one, but it's OOS. Might end up getting that one in the future, who knows... but for now, I think i need anal lube and fast, as i know the bf is missing anal action and tbf, so am I. Doc Johnson Blush UR3 Dildo Clear This just seemed a really good price for a real-feel dildo, and I've been after a dildo for a good while. I have quite a few vibes but not really any good dildos, and this one looks good. I have really high hopes for this. Diamond Dazzler Smooth Vibrator 6 Inch Ah, the one that made me buy more than I set out to! Looks good though, the reviews are positive and it's certainly pretty! A £20 vibrator for free? well, you can't knock that! BASIC Sex Toys Essential Starter Pack And this is the one that made me want to order this time in the first place! You get 4 items from the LH BASIC range, which I've fancied trying anyway.. the BASIC Sex Toys Vibrating Love Ring, the BASIC Sex Toys Vibrating Mega Ring, the BASIC Sex Toys Vibrating Finger Ring and the BASIC Sex Toys Vibrating Love Bullet. I've been fancying the idea of a cockring for the mr anyway, and if i bought one, it'd probably be the Omazing one, but if we get on with the ones in this freebie, then we can treat ourselves to that I think! Hehe. So, a pretty impressive haul considering. If i'd spent just under £70 in AS, I have a feeling I may have walked out with, oh, 2 vibes? lol..
